In December of 2008 my cousin approached me with an idea. What about doing a triathlon?
I laughed, and laughed, and laughed. Then gulped. Well, maybe. I hadn't run since 6th grade (I am now over 30 and the mother of two!). So I started with a 5k in February of 2009. Training for it kicked my butt. But it felt so very good. Then I did another 5k, and then another. And then a bike race. And then, my first TRI in July 2009.
Now, I'm a little hooked. I'm not fast. I'm not fit. But I'm slowly proving me to myself.
This is my journey from non-runner to tri-athlete with all the slips, trips and turns in between.
